Join us in the HKS Kitchen for a night of food and fun as Jessica Keahey (Certified Cheese Professional, wine educator, and the “Big Cheese” behind Sweet Freedom Cheese) takes you on a wine- soaked and fromage-filled culinary journey through France. Jessica will explain the history and science behind some beloved French cheeses and wines. Participants will learn the basics of how to taste and evaluate wine and cheese, fundamental pairing principles, and what distinguishes traditional and innovative French foods. Whether you are an avid aficionado or just a hungry food and travel enthusiast, this class is a great way to delve into some of the most delicious cheeses and wines from France. Must be 21 years or older to attend this class.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:
Jessica Keahey is the owner of Sweet Freedom Cheese, the first cut-to-order cheese shop in Arkansas. Jessica has studied extensively with cheese experts from around the globe, making and mongering, for the past 10 years. She has earned the distinction of being named a Certified Cheese Professional by the American Cheese Society and was profiled in Women Make Arkansas: Conversations with 50. Jessica also holds a Level 3 sommelier certification from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and teaches Beverage Management at Brightwater Culinary College.
