with Helen Lampkin, founder of My Brother's Salsa and Helen's Table
Join Helen in our HKS Kitchen for this new cooking series featuring seasonal produce! Learn how to utilize vegetables and fruits from farmers market finds or even your own garden with Helen's tried and true recipes. Next up, peppers and pickles- ingredients known to add another level of flavor to favorite dishes. Participants will be greeted with Helen's Spicy Pepper Jelly over cream cheese served with crackers. In the hands on portion, participants will make a pepper jelly with local jalapeños as well as a homemade pepper sauce, both versatile to use on many things. Then learn how to quick pickle summer produce with Helen's Refrigerator Veggies. This class will lean on harvesting what is fresh from the garden or farmers market. Guests will have a serving of each item they made in class to take home to enjoy! Recipes will be provided.
**All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available.**
