Farm to Fork: Beautiful Blueberries- June 13th

Join Helen in our HKS Kitchen for this new cooking series featuring seasonal produce! Learn how to utilize vegetables and fruits from farmers market finds or even your own garden with Helen's tried and true recipes. Next up, blueberries- known for so many health benefits and packed with antioxidants as well as vitamins and minerals. Participants will be greeted with Blueberry Lemonade paired with a summer green salad topped with blueberries and vinaigrette. In the hands on portion, participants will make a herbal blueberry sauce served over pork tenderloin. Then create mini blue corn pancakes with lemon blueberry syrup and whipped ricotta. Helen will also bring a slice of her blueberry tart for each guest as a second sweet bite! Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE CHEF:
Helen Lampkin, woman of faith, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, lives an inspired “no ordinary” life based on the words found in Colossians 3:23 – “do all things wholeheartedly to the Lord.” This inspiration is at the heart of all she does and has led her to become an entrepreneur (founder of My Brother’s Salsa), artist, adventurous cook, recipe developer/writer, food stylist, and blogger.
