with Daneen Parish, owner of the retired Crumpet Tea Room
Chef Daneen will share some of her legendary recipes at the HKS Kitchen! Guests will be greeted with her tantalizing Goat Cheese Pecan Dip with crackers as a starter before getting into the main courses. For the hands on portion, participants will learn how to render onions to make an amazing broth that will be used to make a classic French Onion Soup. Then using the same broth base, guests will make Daneen's own "French-Table" Soup, a hearty veggie and onion mashup. These recipes are sure to keep you warm this winter! Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
"You never know what God has planned for you," is something that Daneen Parish will tell you. After owning, managing, and cooking in The Crumpet Tea Room & Restaurant for 18 years, life changed and she is now the manager and owner of Purple Passion Farm. Daneen took her love for food in a different direction and now experiences great joy from growing and raising food as well as preparing and cooking it. She still has a loyal customer base of orange roll lovers and continues to bake out of her home kitchen for those wanting the scrumptious orange rolls. At the Purple Passion Farm, she grows a variety of fruits and vegetables, particularly varieties that are purple! Daneen also has seasonal offerings out of the garden, fresh free range chicken & duck eggs and rabbits. If baking orange rolls and producing on the farm was not enough to keep her busy, Daneen also teaches classes on tea, cooking/baking, canning, gardening, raising rabbits and other homesteading topics. You can join Daneen in the Purple Passion Farm group found on Facebook to order orange rolls, learn tips on raising/growing your own food or schedule a visit to the farm to pick up farm fresh goodness!
