Who better to learn making chocolate from than one of NWA's top chocolatiers?? Preston will be in the HKS Kitchen with his specialized chocolate equipment and tools to craft and mold chocolate bars featuring the best ingredients. Using a decadent dark Colombian blend, guests will have the option to customize each of their TWO (5x5 inch) bars with seasonal toppings. Wrap up the bars for gifting or stuff them in your own stocking! Chocolate won't be the only confection that you learn in this class! Preston will also teach you how to make your own homemade marshmallows from scratch! Each guest will have a small tray of Vanilla Bean Marshmallows to take home to enjoy. Meats, cheeses, and accoutrements from Sweet Freedom Cheese will be served upon arrival to snack on during class. Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE CHOCOLATIER
Preston Stewart - As a young kid I remember being in the kitchen and helping out my parents prepare meals but also creating my own “concoctions” as I called them. Chocolate became an unexpected medium to combine my passion for food as well as my technical approach and educational background in biochemistry. With nearly 10 years of experience in the world of craft chocolate as a certified chocolate maker, chocolatier, & cacao grader, I feel like I’ve just scratched the surface of what chocolate can be and its potential to do good in the world.
Preston is currently the Director of Chocolate for Onyx Coffee Lab and the mastermind behind their chocolate brand Terroir (pronounced “Ter-wah”). He has been working in craft chocolate for nearly a decade, and is certified as a chocolatier, chocolate maker, and cacao grader.
