HKS is excited to partner with Chef Erin Rowe in this series of classes focusing on gourmet Southern-style recipes.  Each class will feature different regional dishes highlighting some of the South's most iconic flavors and ingredients.  Join us this month in the HKS Kitchen as she spices things up with Chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya.  Chef Erin will discuss cajun spices and ingredients as she instructs participants to make their own pot of jambalaya from scratch.  Then guests will make a caramel banana pudding for dessert to satisfy that sweet tooth!  Chef Erin will have prepared Cowboy Caviar for guests to enjoy upon arrival.  It doesn't get tastier than that!  Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE CHEF:

Cookbook author and chef Erin Rowe was raised in charming Siloam Springs and calls the hills of Northwest Arkansas home. She attended Maui Culinary Academy but mostly learned by trial and error, cooking her way through the infamous Joy of Cooking. She recently authored a cookbook of her own, An Ozark Culinary History, available at HKS now.  Most recently she started her very own walking food tours of the NWA area called Ozark Culinary Food Tours.  When she is not leading tours, catering house parties, developing menus, and teaching classes, Erin enjoys eating basil pesto, collecting passport stamps, and reading through a British classic over a good cup of coffee!  Follow Chef Erin at Chef Erin Rowe on Facebook or @ozarkculinarytours on Instagram.
