May is the month for all things Margarita, and we all love the citrusy tart flavor combined with savory salts and simple syrups just as the weather turns warm! Join Helen Lampkin in our HKS Kitchen for a cooking class that will take you beyond the Classic Margarita cocktail. When participants arrive you will be greeted with Margarita Shrimp Appetizers and Prickly Pear Margaritas to enjoy. Then in the hands on portion, Helen will instruct how to create a fresh summer salad with the best Margarita Vinaigrette. Participants will also learn how to make a unique Margarita Seasoning Mix that is so versatile it can be used in dips, on fish or chicken, or with veggies. In this class we will use it to create Margarita roasted veggies and chicken thighs. And this class would not be complete without her amazing Margarita Tart to wrap up at the end of the night! Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE CHEF:
Helen Lampkin, woman of faith, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, lives an inspired “no ordinary” life based on the words found in Colossians 3:23 – “do all things wholeheartedly to the Lord.” This inspiration is at the heart of all she does and has led her to become an entrepreneur (founder of My Brother’s Salsa), artist, adventurous cook, recipe developer/writer, food stylist, and blogger.
