Whether grown in your backyard or picked fresh from the farm, strawberries are a late spring staple in the Ozarks. Come join HKS co-owner Dana Smith for a fun and tasty class all about sweet strawberries! In this hour and a half class, we’ll discuss growing, harvesting, storing, and preserving strawberries. We’ll make a quick strawberry jam and enjoy samples of multiple strawberry dishes. Recipes provided. This class is part of the Field to Fork series - shorter classes focused on a single food and filled with tips and techniques for using seasonal, local ingredients in your everyday cooking.
