There's already a cool breeze in the air, which can only mean one thing: It's time for some hearty brunch recipes to spice up the season. We know you'll gladly take ALL the pumpkin spice recipes, but while you're out shopping this fall, arm yourself with some apples, squashes, and sweet potatoes in anticipation of the weekend's best meal! Join HKS in partnership with Heather Artripe as we dive into the delicious flavors of autumn brunch. Participants will enjoy her sweet potato biscuits smothered in chai apple butter upon arrival. Next Heather will instruct you how to make Fall Harvest Stuffed Acorn Squash (with sausage, onion, apple, couscous, and parmesan) paired with Ozark Salad with a bourbon apple cider vinaigrette (topped with cured egg yolk and candied bacon) in the hands on portion of the class. Guests will finish the evening with a mouth-watering Pumpkin Praline Orange Bread Pudding for dessert. Now that's what we call a brunch! Recipes will be provided.

MEET THE CHEF:
One of Heather Artripe's first memories of being a child is dragging a chair across her Granny's kitchen floor to stand on so she could help her cook. 10 years ago Heather started teaching cooking classes at Ozark Natural Foods and never looked back! She started to become obsessed with cooking and creating, focusing on honest, real, flavorful-all-on-it's-own food and local ingredients when at all possible. When she is not cooking for fun, teaching cooking classes, or shooting Rooted in the Ozarks, you can find her in my her own little urban homestead growing veggies, fruits, and herbs, canning and pickling, hanging out with her pack of animals, thinking of recipes, talking about recipes, etc. She loves cooking and loves food. And most of all, she loves creating it.
