Classes

Cooking classes at Honeycomb Kitchen Shop give you the chance to experience wonderful creations from some of the best local talents.  Not only will you learn something you can take back to your own kitchen, but you will have a great time doing it!  Classes are held in our on-site kitchen and typically last two to three hours.  So whether you are looking for something different to do for date night or something entertaining with a group of friends, we’ve got a class just for you!

Refunds for tickets purchased for a class are available with proper notice.  Any cancellations within 48 hours of a cooking class will not be refunded due to food planning and costs.  Thank you.

Events

Honeycomb Kitchen Shop is also available for small private events.  Need a unique setting for a dinner party or want to celebrate a special occasion?  Contact us and we will be happy to plan the perfect party with you.  Private events can only take place during non-business hours.

A $100 deposit is required to reserve the date of your event.  Cancellations can be made up to two weeks before the reserved date for a full refund on your deposit.  Any cancellations within two weeks of the event will forfeit the deposit in its entirety.

Mastering Mardi Gras Cuisine

Get ready for Mardi Gras by joining us along with Maudie Schmitt of Cafe Rue Orleans for an educational evening on some classic Cajun dishes. Maudie will take us step-by-step through creating the perfect Cajun-style gumbo. Her secret? "It's all in the roux!" she says. Find out how she creates this delicious dish that has been warming the bellies of her restaurant patrons for years. She will be discussing Cajun food and seasoning so that you can go back to your kitchen and recreate your own gumbo dish. Then finish the evening with another one of Maudie's specialties....Bananas Foster! You'll leave ready to conquer any Fat Tuesday celebration. Tickets are $50/person

Cooking with Beer

t's time to eat, drink and learn with Haley O'Brien from Bike Rack Brewing Co! In this unique class, attendees will learn about cooking with beer by using several different cooking methods. Haley will walk through the recipes and cooking techniques while discussing the different flavor profiles of the types of beers we will be featuring. You will be able to taste test all the beers we are cooking with as well as try a few additional beers that will be paired with other foods that evening. We are also excited to partner with two other local businesses, Edgewood Creamery and Bentonville Butcher & Pint, for this class in order to create some of these amazing beer dishes. You must be 21 to attend this class. Tickets are $60/person

Modern Cooking Class

We've all seen the fancy chefs on the Food Network wowing everyone with their latest and greatest food creations. Now is your chance to get in on some of that fun! Learn the tricks and tips of modern cooking with Chef Brent Hale of Big Sexy Food. Chef Brent will teach you how to create some amazing dishes by learning about spherification and liquid nitrogen. He will also focus on cooking equipment like sous vide and dehydrators that can take your food to the next level. Not to mention some fun tricks of the culinary trade to wow your friends at your next dinner party!

St. Patty's Mixology Class

HKS is excited to have Pink House Alchemy share their creative mixology talents that will be the hit at any St. Patrick's Day party.  Mark Hooper will be talking about everything from simple syrups to bitters to shrubs and how with the right pH Alchemy product, you can add a unique twist to a cocktail that will take it to the next level. He will also be discussing mixology tools that you will need to have on hand as well as techniques for mixing, stirring, muddling, infusing, etc to create the perfect drink. 

Recipes will be provided and light appetizers will be served.  Must be 21 to participate in this class.

Hoppy Easter Cookie Decorating Class #1

It's time to hop to it and get your cookie decorating skills on! We have invited How Sweet is Homemade baker, Ellen Lewis, back into our HKS kitchen to get you cookie ready for Easter. Join us in this hands on class to learn how to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing and learn skills to make them look too good to eat. Not only is this a fun activity to do on your own, but this is a great way to spend time together with friends and family in your own kitchens. And we know how popular these classes are so we aren't doing just one...there are two classes available this time. Don't wait to sign up, tickets sell fast. Light appetizers will be served during class.

Brunch it up! Cooking Class

If we all could have just one life goal, it should be to eat brunch everyday. It's by far the best meal! Join us along with Heather Artripe from Ozark Natural Foods as we dive into the wonderful world of brunch. In this cooking class we will be making some simple, yet elegant brunch recipes that can be made ahead of time and are sure to impress your guests. Heather will walk you through a classic shrimp and grits recipe and discuss ways to it change up to make it your own. She will also be making spicy prosciutto cantaloupe salad and lavender thyme scones that you will help make in a hands on portion of the class. To round it out, there will be strawberry rose lemonade (which pairs perfectly with your favorite champagne). You won't want to miss this tasty class!
